From my home, nestled in the quiet, picturesque mountains of southwest British Columbia, Canada, I pursue my passion for scratchboard and acrylic art.  In this peaceful atmosphere, so close to nature and nature's creations, I find the inspiration needed for my scratchboard and acrylic creations.

Art in so many forms has woven itself into the tapestry of my life, specifically through singing and acrylic painting.  I have recently discovered the art of scratchboard.  Scratchboard and its extremely fine detail has added a new dimension to my art.  The finely detailed etching process in scratchboard with emphasis on light and shadow brings a dramatic and breathtaking effect to its scratchboard subjects.  Therefore,  scratchboard and acrylic art are the mediums that I choose to exhibit my love of western and wildlife themes.  Whether it be the challenge of capturing the wild expression in a cougar's eyes, or the loving gaze of a pet, or revealing the pride in the face of a cowboy, I find fulfillment in bringing those emotions to life through scratchboard and color.

My one hope is that I can capture, and communicate  through scratchboard and color, what this artist sees and feels, so that others may be able to share in that experience.
